My husband and I were engaged a year ago today.
So to celebrate we did some art together.
Meet Nessatanya and Nicodeshkik. Or Anya and Nic if you're into that whole brevity thing ... which I am.
Nic was created in the far-flung future as the perfect weapon. Anya was, in the far-flung past, a queen and priestess, a living fertility figure.
I am surprised the universe didn't implode when they met. But meet they did, and they also fell in love. Madly and deeply. Once they met, they were never really parted. They manage to balance each other out.
In more reality-based terms, theirs is a relationship that mirrors our own, and that makes it one of my favorite stories.
