Billy Bumbler by NuisanceBearEull Billy Bumbler by NuisanceBearEull
And also, Oy was there.

I've wanted to draw one of these since I met the lovely Oy in The Dark Tower series. Bear in mind that this is what he looks like in my head. He may not be 100% as the fabulously talented Stephen King wrote him, but this is how I see him. It's all in good fun.

I don't do fan art that often, but ... it's OY!

And no, I don't draw animals often. It shows.

I love this so muuuuch~! I think you did a FANTASTIC job with his design, too. Even if the rather large font in the background didn't give it away, I would have known who this way immediately. And considering you say you don't often draw animals, I think this is wonderful! the anatomy looks really great, and he has such a brilliant expression. Those eyes are drawing me right in.

Aaaah you can geek with me whenever you want. <3 I just can't wait until you get into the fourth book, it's my favourite! I can't remember if you've met Cuthbert at all yet, but he's in that and he's my favourite character.

WANT. TO. MEET. CUTHBERT!!! I just started book four. Was glad Blaine crashed (for a train, he really was a dick)! I love the idea of Cuthbert being around. I've liked him just from Roland's flashbacks and stories thus far.

I'm so glad you like my Oy. I'm also glad he's recognizable as Oy. That was the part I worried about. Thanks for the fave!

Haha, yes, Blaine really did get on my nerves, though the way they 'beat' him is still one of my favourite scenes. I'm sure most writers wouldn't have been able to carry it off as well as Mr King did.

Aah, yes, I couldn't remember if there had been flashbacks. Oh man, you are really going to love him. He's one of those totally endearing characters you can't help but adore. I'm not sure if you've ever seen them, but Marvel has done a series of Dark Tower comics based around Roland's past as explained in the flashbacks and the fourth book. When you've finished Wizard and Glass I would really suggest checking them out, because they're INCREDIBLE. You can buy all the issues released in hardcover books, now. They make his old friends all the more fascinating and loveable because of the extra bits of dialogue (and it has lots of Cort, too!)
