One more to go in this series. (Leaving only the really fast guy in red.)

This is a companion piece to these:

It's odd. Parts of it are off. I know. It happens. But the concept was just right and once I got started, I couldn't very well stop. I just hope I avoided the "smurf thing".

Art, story, and Character (C) *NuisanceBearEull

***** Character Info You Don't Have To Read *****

There are a lot of firsts for Matt in this one.

Matt has many different arms to chose from. Any of them would be suitable to wear for a publicity picture. But this time, for the first time, he chose his combat arm.

He's not sure why he's never had it documented before. It's not as though he's ashamed of it. On the contrary, he is proud of it. All of his arms are art and he's never tried to hide them ... any of them.

This is also the first time he's allowed his power to be documented on purpose. He's the master of the negative. The moment between seconds, the space between atoms, the feelings we don't admit to having or don't want to feel, the absence of sunlight, the substance of the weight that is lifted after screaming or crying. Not the most scientific sources, but Matt is a man with one foot in science and one foot in the metaphysical. He is only member of the circle who deals with magic in any way. His genetics demand it and he's comfortable with it.

And ... this is the first time he's let me draw him with short hair. He's one of those guys who is in a constant state of change (most of it having to do with his hair). He's kept it short only a handful of times in his long life and he's never satisfied with it (as he's never really satisfied with anything). I think it looks nice. But then I've had him around for so long and I like him so much that I think he looks nice no matter what.

There you go.

He looks very impressive in that lighting and his arm and eyes only add to it. Thanks for sharing.

Why is it when you do black-eyed pointy eared people they look so awesome?!

I love the short hair.He should have it this way more than once! He doesn't look like a..a..those annoying blue skinned creatures that I shall not name.
I love the look of that combat arm, and he looks very proud and strong showing it off.

He looks like a living piece of Classic art. Love it. And I'm sure Matt would too.

I have to say that i don't think it's 'smurfy' in the least. I think it looks quite statuesque. The arm while being metal seems very organic to me which I like, and it's a feel of movement which moves through his hair as well. Every time you do something I find myself wondering about your characters more and more.

His eyes are black, and I have to say that though normally that would make someone look evil or something, it doesn't with him. Rather it emphasizes his strength. I get quite a sense of emotion from this piece.
